(e) The central element of the video piece Visibilité Invisible is a bullet-resistant vest, which was used in an area of conflict. In this video different people are shown wearing the vest in their homes or at their workplaces. These spaces in which the people are filmed wearing the vest stand in stark contrast to the vest and its connotations. The vest is worn with an irritating casualness. Almost no one else is to be seen in the video image. This absence of any other people further emphasizes the discrepancy between the vest, the individuals and these spaces. The focus is thereby directed to what the people are thinking, although they only appear as a surface for projections. The work’s subject is the latent psychological insecurity that spreads among people living in overly organized and overly secure societies. (Visibilité Invisible: Invisible Visibility)

(g) Zentrales Element der Videoarbeit Visibilité Invisible ist eine schussbehemmende Weste, die in einem Krisengebiet im Einsatz war. In diesem Video werden unterschiedliche Personen, die diese Weste tragen in ihrem privaten oder beruflichen Umfeld gezeigt. Diese Räume, in dem sich die Personen mit der Weste filmen lassen, stehen im Gegensatz zu der Weste und derer Konnotation. Mit einer irritierenden Selbstverständlichkeit wird diese Weste getragen. Bis auf diese Personen befinden sich kaum andere Menschen im Videobild. Diese Absenz anderer Menschen unterstreicht zusätzlich die Diskrepanz zwischen der Weste, den Menschen und diesen Räumen. Der Fokus wird dadurch zudem auf die Gedanken dieser Menschen gerichtet, die sich dem Betrachter jedoch nur als Interpretationsraum zeigen. Die Arbeit zielt also darauf ab die latente innerpsychische Verunsicherung, die sich in Menschen in einer überorganisierten und übersicheren Gesellschaft ausbreitet, zu thematisieren.

(f) L’élément central du travail vidéo Visibilité Invisible est un gilet pare-balles qui était utilisé dans un territoire en crise. Pour ce projet, différentes personnes se laissent filmer sur leurs lieux privés ou professionnels en portant le gilet. Ces espaces sont contradictoires, avec des connotations liées au gilet. Il est porté selon une évidence étrange. De plus, l’absence d’autres personnes sur  l’image montre la divergence entre le gilet, la personne et cet espace. Ce point de vue vise les pensées de la personne, qui ne restent qu’un espace d’interprétation. Ce travail met en question la peur intrapsychique latente des êtres humains qui vivent dans un monde sur-assuré.
